Ex parte packet — ready to file

Your ex parte packet is ready.

You've completed all six steps. Review the readiness check below, copy the text to review offline, and log in to generate the PDFs for actual filing.

File before the court's ex parte cutoff — usually 8:30 AM.

Most California superior courts require ex parte applications to be submitted by 8:30 AM on the day of the hearing. Call your courthouse clerk's office to confirm the exact cutoff and whether your county requires advance notice to the department.

Bring the complete packet: FL-300, FL-305, MC-030 (declaration), proposed order, and proof of notice (or declaration explaining why notice was not given).

File before the court closes for ex parte submissions. If you miss the window, the hearing gets pushed to the next court day — which may not be an option if the situation is urgent. Call the clerk first.
