What are you asking for?

What you check here tells the judge exactly what you're asking for — the order can only cover what you request.

Check everything that applies. You can come back and change these at any time before you print.

A custody order You want the judge to decide who the children live with and who makes decisions for them. A parenting time schedule You want to set up when each parent spends time with the children — weekdays, weekends, holidays. Child or spousal support You want the other party to pay regular financial support. We'll flag the required financial form automatically. Attorney's fees or court costs You're asking the court to order the other side to cover some or all of your legal expenses. Control of specific property or accounts You need a temporary order about who controls the home, car, bank accounts, or other shared assets. Change an existing court order There's already an order in place and you want to update, modify, or end it. Emergency or urgent orders Emergency orders require showing immediate harm or danger — not inconvenience or dispute. The court will look for specific facts about what is happening right now and why waiting for a regular hearing would cause serious harm. You will write the emergency declaration on step 5 — specific facts of immediate harm, not a general description of the situation.
